Our Outreach Programs provide free assistance to those struggling in the surrounding communities in the form of food, clothing, furniture, childrens’ programs and more.
This support allows families and individuals to focus on their personal growth, family health, and stability while having basic needs met on a consistent basis.

Adopt-A-Block

Adopt-A-Block’s mission is to adopt neighborhoods that have been ravished by drugs, crime, and despair. We go into neighborhoods weekly for neighborhood clean ups, home repairs and maintenance for elderly and low income families, park beautification, block parties, food and clothes distribution and much more!

Food Distribution

Philadelphia is the poorest “big city” in the nation. Nearly 25% of children go many mornings and many nights without a proper meal.
The food distribution ministry aims to help families and children to have basic food needs met. This in turn opens doors to build meaningful relationships and help us to connect families to other services they might need such as education, and job training.
Our Food Distributions consist of:
  • Children’s Feeding Program:
Monday-Friday our team prepares 200-300 meals a day (sometimes more). To distribute to children in dire need of healthy meals. We do this throughout our fully equipped mobile kitchen (food truck) and our commercial kitchen at our facility. Our dream is to grow this program to a 4,000 sq ft kitchen and warehouse storage space where we can distribute over 1,000 meals a day to children in need.
  • Neighborhood Food Drop:
Our neighborhood food drops spontaneously drop thousands of pounds of food in one drop. We show up to neighborhoods in extreme poverty with a truck and up to 20,000 pounds of food and distribute it to needy families and senior citizens.

S.H.I.N.E

Spreading Hope In Neighborhoods Everywhere is what its all about! SHINE is a fun sidewalk Sunday school ministry that reaches out to children in our local neighborhoods. Through this program we introduce children to the concept of church and community through games and skits. We also teach them about learning how to cope with everyday problems that they might encounter in day to day life such as; anger, sadness, drugs, and hopelessness. Come out and SHINE with us!

Foster Care Intervention

The Foster Care Intervention team works with individual families who have open cases and at risk for open cases with the Department of Children and Family  (DHS). We help families stay together by providing basic necessities and in many cases, the furniture they need. Our goal in partnering with DHS is to help loving families avoid separation, provide support to families who are in the process of reunification and ultimately help close their case.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

The Dream Center is committed to reaching women in high human trafficking areas. We work with strip clubs, and on the streets to reach girls of all ages that are at high risk of becoming sex trafficking victims. Our vision is to be able to one-day house these women and provide them with various resources such as trauma counseling, medical services, legal services, education and job training. The fact still remains true that here in the U.S. we have more animal shelters than we do shelters for victims of trafficking. The Philly Dream Center hopes to be able to alleviate some of this deep pain.

In 2016, The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children estimated that 1 in 6 endangered runaways reported to them were likely sex trafficking victims. Globally, the International Labor Organization estimates that there are 4.5 million people trapped in forced sexual exploitation globally.
